"Far Away" 2013

     This painting came from feeling home-sick because I have not been to Florida and seen my family and friends in a while. It was also inspired in a larger sense by the notion that everybody has an idealized vision of a fun and relaxing paradise where they dream of going to. A far away land where everything is beautiful and their problems and worries can't reach them.

   Aesthetically, it was inspired by vintage post card art which I am very fond of.
